I didn’t get around to sending Thanksgiving greetings this year. I’ve been on a writing streak and I was busy in the kitchen yesterday. This year, instead of the usual Thanksgiving menu, I prepared a vegetarian meal. Instead of turkey and stuffing, we ate stuffed portobello mushrooms with the usual roast veggie sides. Neither my husband nor I missed the meat. How can you miss a main where there’s apple pie?
As usual, we gave thanks. This year I’m grateful for the following:
My continued good health and the fact that I didn’t get sick with COVID.
My friends and loved ones, especially my darling hubby who never lets a day go by without telling me he loves me.
The people I work with who make my life easier, many of whom have become friends.
The friends I’ve made online.
The bounty I have been given and that is readily available to me
My continued ability to sit and write for long stretches of time.
The fact that I have an almost finished book.
Books I have read and that I look forward to reading.
The fact that others still read and enjoy the books I write.
And, last but not least, I’m grateful to Amazon. It allows me to shop from home, which makes my life infinitely easier.
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Happy holidays to all!
